I also have a "real street drivin" mustang with a/c all pwr acc. That runs single digits.

IS that turbo stang a street car ??
Not sure if ill have my buick ready for this event. defently sounds good.

You run throughout the day and they take you best run i believe and match you up with the closest Mustang or vice versa and you run head to head. Last year i ran a kid that had run 12.0s most of the day to my 11.50s and when it came time for the run, i ran 11.50 having to let off due to knock (temp had dropped a lot) and he busted a 10.8? damn Nitrous lol

i wouldn't say so.... i hope that it gets cut down a bit this year but there were some really good neck and neck runs all last year. It was a great time and definitly worth it imo.

I'll be their with my father for the sixth year in a row this year. Should have the 50's and the PTE stock location IC on by then and the Trans+ bugs fixed.

What happened to Bronco Johnnie? He talked some funny smack a couple of years back and really hammered on us old guys. He had a fast car and a damned funny T shirt.

For those of you who haven't been to the shootout.

This is a team race with only one class,.... Ford vs Buick.

The cars must be Ford or Buick powered, they don't even have to be Ford or Buick bodied.

Any power adders etc. are allowed. Basically, it just has to be a car.

There is no limit to the number of races in the finals. It is determined by the number of cars that show up.

Qualifying is done by your time trials. Your fastest time trial is your qualifying time.

We will take the time trials and match the pairings accordingly.

If you are the 50th fastest Ford you will race the 50th fastest Buick.

If you are paired against a faster car, you didn't bring enough car!

This is all heads up racing, no excuses... first car to the finish line wins!!

This is a team race and the team with the most wins,...well, wins.

A few people do sand bag, but they are only hurting their team. You are actually helping you team by qualifying well and making it easier on your team mates.

This has turned into one of the largest Buick races in the country and is a load of fun to participate in as well as watch.

We usually have cars racing from the 14's or 15's down into the 8's and 9's. :biggrin:

Same m.o. here. I'm sandbagging in qualifying with 35 psi, and will turn it up in eliminations.

This only pushes your slower cars further up the ladder. You may win your race but you probably will cause more of your buddies to lose.
