I know this has been brought up a few times now, but can anyone shed more light on the subject.

FYI... I called Bristol Motor Speedway today after talking to sydwyndr (about the event) on the Buick chat this weekend. When I called, I spoke with the ticket/sales mgr. He insured me the event was on and tickets were forsale. At the time he could not tell me who the sponser was but took my number and said that he would be more than glad to get back in touch with that info.

If anyone can provide more info, it for sure will be welcomed. I'm tring to plan some vacation time and I'm not wanting to waste it on an event that is not going to happen. I think a lot of other folks feel the same way

Unless Jim's keeping it to himself, it's not Jim putting it on this year.

Don't know but this is what they have on the web site.

That would be great! Jim had told me he was not doing it this year but maybe someone else stepped up or Jim had a change of heart. Hope it's as well run as when Jim ran it!

Yes forsure JH did a great job with the event over the past years. Hopefully the event will have a GREAT turn out this year also. Good to see they are taking interest in our hobby.

Whoever is running it, you can't get more 1/4 mile drag strip passes for less money anywhere in America. A great facility and a great track.

If this is true, I'm there. Been to 3 Buicks @ Bristol, they are great events.

Bristol is a great time, awesome track and the nicest people that I have ever met.

No, Keith...

Too long of a drive to be whipped by Jason. Skipping Bristol this year too, hopefully JH will promote it next year. Car is in hybernation till the Reynolds event in November. Are you making Las vegas ? Send me a PM so we dont hog the thread.

Speedway call back

Receive a call today from Bristol Motor Speedway, they had to leave a message, so I didn't get to talk to them in person. They/Scotty said, rest assure that the event is on Sept. 26-28.

Hope there's a great turn out for this event.

Some may ask why I have taken such an intrest in this event.
The main reason is I love to see buicks going fast and the track only being 66 miles from my driveway does hurt either.:D
