I have a '84 GN and assumed it had a BRF trans. and it doesn't I read somewhere only '86-'87 had them. Is that true?

Anyway I need to build a transmission for my Monte which core should I use. I have 4 to chose from. What did these come from anyway?

CZF=Monte SS
BQ='84 GN?
OG=??????
CQ=??????

The BQ and CZ are really just as good. Put a BR or larger aftermarket servo in either of those and you're there.

Code Model
BRF 86-87 Grand National Servo casting # = 94 Lipseal servo w/

TAF* 89 Anniversary T/A Servo casting # = 94 Lipseal servo w/

CZF/CRF 86-87 Monte Carlo SS Servo casting # = 92 Lipseal servo w/ 2nd

OZF/KZF 85-7 442 , 83-4 Hurst Olds Servo casting # = 92 Lipseal servo w/

Looks like CQ is Monte SS 84 & 85 I have no idea what the calibration on the VB is like.

I built up the stock CFZ in my SS and it is holding up nicely through many passes at the strip... many in the 12s @ over 107mph.

Perfect candidate. Or use the Ick tranny.
