Burning Chips

I've done just about everything you can do to my car from bolts ons to porting, etc. the only thing I have never tried is burning my own chips. I have no idea how to do this but I would like to try. Questions are: the kit you can buy from BM Computer Source does it come with everything I need? Do you burn them on your laptop or home PC? Would you guys recommend me trying this? I have t-link and a scanmaster.

Depends.

If you just want to tweak, sure you can do it. But I would suggest you get DirectScan. I would also suggest read throughthe tons and tons of info on gnttype.org and the archives there.

If you plan to re-write the back-end of the chip, then you better know low level languages.

Thanks for the reply bandit. I would like to try and tweak a chip for my mods I'll check out the archives.
