I purchased songs from buy.com and they are in a WMA format. There agreement allows me to burn them to a CD even tho they are protected but HOW?
I'm guessing I need to convert them to a MPG file and if so I need a software program that will do it and run on WIN98, correct?

What program do I need or what do I need to do?

I'm lost can someone shed some light?

Wont the latest version of Windows Media Player allow you to burn WMA's ?? I think you may have an issue trying to get something that will run on win98 more than anything, though..

I was having problems with WMP doing it so I thought it had to be converted to a MPEG.
My computer eventually got corrupted and I had to take it to get it fixed and they fixed a few other things so I'll try it again. I may be screwed altogether but we'll see.

Just an update in case anyone cares..
I got my computer fixed (it had a few .dll errors) and then I decided to try to simply burn the .WMA files directly to the CD. I tried the Windows media player and it kept coming up with errors. So then I tried Real Player and after 5 "bad disk" errors it finally burned one.

My computer went to sleep in the middle of one of the songs it was burning and it created a few skips in the song but I'll turn this off and burn another one.

Thanks, Jbenn911, for your comment about Windows media player burning them as-is w/o converting them. Without this comment I would have thought they had to be converted to mpeg which they don't.

Good deal ! Glad it worked out.. I too was under the assumption that I had to convert all my stuff over.. Until MY PARENTS told me they were burning their CD's with WMP 11.. Some "guru" I am.. LMAO !!!!!
