Brakes have been worked on. Have you matched up the trunk spid label vin with the dash vin and title vin. Does the trunk spid list we2?
If you are happy I think you will do fine. Start studying up on the quirks of the turbo Buick there are more than a few.

Welcome to the board. What state do you live in? You might be able to find some Turbo Buick people in your area to look at the car with you.

Take your time. There are other fish in the sea.

Agree. Finding someone who knows these cars to go with you is great advice. I'd also add, look at as many cars as possible and don't just settle on the first one you look at. Half the fun is in the chase. Gotta be patient to find the best car for you. Assuming you live in Hawaii thats easier said than done as the availability of nice local TR's for sale at any given time is usually slim to none. IMHO, expanding your search to the mainland and biting the bullet on shipping costs will greatly improve your chances of ending up with a car you can truly be happy with rather than settling for one just because it's local. That's the route I took and never regretted it for a second. Not trying to talk you out of buying the car you posted about (maybe thats the one for you. who knows). The only thing I know about that particular car is its been on and off Craigslist for a very long time...And I think the owner owns an autobody shop.

Attached is a cheat sheet of things to look for. I'm not the author but hopefully you find it helpful in your search.

Doesn't look too bad from we can see. 11.5k is about right price wise. I'm sure your limited on choices without shipping something from the mainland. The brake work mentioned above, would be the conversion to vacuum assisted power brakes instead of the original Power Master assist. (not a bad swap IMO) Wonder what he means by "still needs interior"
