buying a new(old) tr what to do first?

ok its a 87 turbo t or t type bah im confused

first things first it runs fine and eveyrthing after spring cleaning the usual tune u p oil change looking eveyrthing over front to back

what do you guys think would be the first mods that should be done

scan master
boost gage
off the bat?

and eventually go into downpipe injectors fuel pump ??

can you guys give me a good list in order from first to last on just basic bolt ons and what to do first from your experience and than work its way farther down?

i grew up in a shop and the one thing i learned that cant be taught in any amount of time frame is

experience

and i am more than happy to take in any amount of information you can help me out with and i respect the time you put in to read this

First things after the spring cleaning should be a Scanmaster and a Turbo Tweak chip and yes an aftermarket boost gauge.

Then a hot wire upgrade, aftermarket fuel pump...

A bigger downpipe is said to not be needed until you hit mid 12's. I believe stock injectors are about the same.

Get your tune going good with ZERO knock.

Agreed, with the caveat that scanmaster, fuel pump, hotwire take precidece....

And nothing to be confused about.... 86 = T-Type, 87 = Turbo T :wink:
 
should i buy a new or used scan master and who has the best price, are they just plug and play or need to be wired in

and the fuel pump and hot wire as well who do you guys recomend pm me if you want
 
Dont go WOT until you upgrade the fuel system please.............
 
AND DON'T USE THE BAT!!! i KNOW THEY CAN BE FRUSTRATING BUT DON'T USE THE BAT. Sorry, I had to get it in. LOL Welcome aboard and do A LOT of readiing and ask as many question as you can,
 
ok as soon as i do the spring cleaning i will get back to the condition of everything else im pretty much eliminating every possibility from front to back

and still no suggestions on parts for these cars should i go new or used on the scanmaster
