Is anyone running these in the GN? I herd they were 50 lbs lighter than the 2004R and can be built to handle a good amount of power.

yea i know and it doesnt come with the bell housing. Couldn't i just buy the bell housing for my car and hook it up?

No.

You woulf irst have to find someone who makes a BOP trans bellhousing for it,....noone does.

Then you would need a custom converter for the right pump interface and flywheel bolt pattern.

then you would need a custom driveshaft with the right trans yoke, and modify your trans mount/bracket.

If you want to,by all means give it a try, gonna cost lots of $$$.

There is a custom ford AOD you can get,but its not cheap either.

1. C6
2. FMX
3. C4

In order of strength/performance.

The FMX is a boat anchor at best.Probably stronger case wise than the c6 though with the cast iron center section.

I agree the c6 is better than the c4 in stock to stock comparison, but the c4 has a much stronger race potential and the parts to back it.

jw makes a c4 to sbchevy bellhousing and then you could just add an adapter plate for @65.00 from jeggs and then you still need a converter but its not worth the effort.

Yea thats what a figured. I'll just buy the CK tranny from my friend. It has problem where it keeps not wanting to shift. Happened like 3 times. Hopefully its the governor if not, Ck's on the island now so i'll just stop in. Thanks guys.
