I called a local auto parts store to get some prices to fix this issue

Me: Good evening I would like to get some prices for rod bearings.
Parts guy: What type of car?
Me: 86 Buick Regal with a 3.8 turbo.
Parts Guy: Is this a Grand National?
Me: It has the 3.8 turbo engine like the Grand National.
Parts Guy: It has to be a Grand National or these bearings will not work!
Me: UM? What is the price for the standard bearings?
Parts Guy: You will have to call tomorrow and talk to a manger about the application for your car.
I was waiting for him to ask me if I was sure it wasn't a Monte Carlo I was buying parts for
It is a GN but I don't like leaving information about it with local people. There is one shop a few miles from here that has a huge customer base (very high dollar cars and low dollar cars with lots of money in them) that has an unsecured PC sitting out for customers to use while waiting for work to be done. On this computer is some type of database program always running which holds all their customers information, cars, work and home phone home address. I am in there under an alias with only a cell phone number as the address. Knowing what I do about PC security, this shop has a goldmine for the wrong type of car person.
To turbo regal owners: You must upgrade to a GN before you can rebuild that engine.
