I am getting the new motor together and want to make sure it is done correctly.
1. Cam plug on rear of block. Freeze plugs come with two different depths. Which do you use?
2. Have the good TA performance cam bearings, want to make sure they are installed correctly. I have an 85 block, the rear 3 journals have the oil holes at 9 o'clock, do you line the oil hole in the bearing there? (the bearing has 2 holes)
Front cam journal, holes are 2 and 9 oclock, line up the holes in the bearing the same as well?
May be dumb questions, just don't want to take any chances, or trust "non-GN aware" machine shops.
