cam button replacement

tonight when i went to the store to get a new cam button, they said they dont make them any more. is this a dealer only item, or can i buy one for a different car and have it fit? and is using the stock one out of the question? thanks guys. caleb

I bought a roller type replacement in March. I got it from a local shop called H&M, not one of the chain stores. I think the part was made by Melling.
