ok in process of tuning the car i was told to check cam sensor. so i did the step by step that i was told. start the car and while its running unplug the cam sensor. i dont remember what the car was supposed to do next. ive tried to get a hold of tuner past few days but he has been busy. my two questions are. one when you unplug the cam sensor what should the car do. and 2 when doing log on the car with 1/2 thottle the cam sensor reads 95 to 99 during log. what does that mean. is cam sensor bad or is it supposed to stay running when unplagged and whats the readins for the cam sensor supposed to be when running. another note not disrepecting the tuner/helper in anyway. so please do not say i am. just trying to find an answer

By unplugging the cam sensor while running you are only changing the injector firing from sequential to batch fire. The car should run with it unplugged.
As far as logging numbers i will let someone with a logger chime in.

I'm trying to figure out why your 'tuner' would tell you to unplug the cam sensor (of a running engine) at a later date and not tell you what to look for.

That would be like turning off a running engine and pulling to spark plugs to see if they have spark.

No I forgot what they wanted me to look for after unplugging it. Don't look to far into my question. I don't remember ok that's y I'm asking. But the cam sensor question was answered just need to know the numbers on a log the cam should be running at now

Disconnecting the cam sensor, while the car is running,is typically done in an effort to diagnose a misfire. After disconnecting the sensor, one would typically drive the car and see if the misfire goes away. If it does, the cam sensor is bad.
