cam sensor removal

I can not get the cam sensor out in order to put a new one in. I have the balancer at 25 degrees atc the #1 cylinder at tdc . The cam sensor hold down bolt is removed and the the cam sensor cap is off and the window is facing the driver side fender. I am pulling on the sensor but it will not come out(I am not sure on how hard you have to pull, I do not want to break anything). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sensor is stuck, it's likely the o'ring has glued itself to the surrounding bore in the ft cover. Try turning the hsg, and pulling up at the same time.
