If I pull the cam sensor to prime the oil system and am careful not to spin it, will I need to go through the setting procedure? I won't be turning the motor over at all while it's out. I'm just priming the system after putting on a turbo saver.

Be gentle - I did search but got no definitive information.

Thanks for your input on such a basic subject that's been beaten to death.

I've done this a handful of times - I'm sure you can do it. Mark the cam sensor housing with reference to the timing cover. Take the cap off and make a mark where the little rotor is pointing. Remove the cam sensor. Have a look at the oil pump driveshaft just to see what it's orientation is. Prime the oil pump. Use your priming tool to orient the oil pump driveshaft back the way it was. Install the cam sensor. The little rotor should point where it was pointing before you remove the cam sensor. If it will not drop all the way in, you'll want to rotate the oil pump driveshaft a little in one direction or the other. After the cam sensor drops all the way in, the little rotor may still need to be turned. Remove the cam sensor, turn the oil pump driveshaft a little in the direction that the rotor needs to turn. Install the cam sensor, check the little rotor's direction again. You can probably see that you will want to repeat these last couple of steps until the rotor points to your mark. Once it points to the correct spot, rotate the cam sensor housing to align the marks on the cam sensor housing and timing cover. Tighten the hold down clamp. It takes some patience but you'll probably get the feel for the procedure pretty quick. Feel free to ask questions. I hope this is easy enough to understand.

Thanks Paul and Houtx. I should be able to fumble through it.
