If my cam sensor was out of adjustment, what would I see on DirectScan? Could this be a possible cause of my high RPM stutter (5000RPM +)?

Thanks,
-Banning.

Probably nothing. There's no out of adjustment detection. FWIW my cam sensor wheel came loose recently (actually the locating tang broke off but the screw wasn't loose). Didn't know about it until it had rotated some 60 crank degrees or so out of adjustment and finally caused the coil module to mis-sync.

I dont think you will see anything on DS either. You'll have to check it with a voltmeter if you dont have the Caspers tool.

You might see huge amounts of knock.

One of my friends TR's sensor was out of adjustment badly. He was getting crazy knock retard. I'm talking 30 degrees at 5 lbs of boost! I set his cam sensor with the Casper's tool and all is well in turboland now! I'm in the process of doing it on another friends car as well.

Thanks guys. I'll check it tonight & see what happens at the track tomorrow.
