I am currently rebuilding my motor. I have a 6266 DBB precision turbo, I am having my heads ported and polished, running E85 with 80 lb injectors and turbotweak chip combo, racetronics 340 fuel pump with hot wire kit, front mount intercooler, lock up converter custom from hartline performance. I am going with a stock crank, recondition the rods and forged pistons. I believe I might have to bore 30 over I have to double check with my machine shop. Now the question is, I would like to know what would be the best cam for my setup. Roller cams are really expensive idk if I'm going to go that route but open to suggestions. I am not looking for a race cam either I want something that is better than stock reliable and can get me into the low 11s and possibly high 10s would be awesome. I've been digging through the forums and most posts are over 10 years old so I'm looking to see if there's anything new out there. I was also looking at the 208/208 isky cam kit from gn1 performance. Any help or suggestions will be great guys thanks!

When your done you will have a similar set up to mine...I went with a 212/212 roller cam from Weber...A friend of mine who is very knowledgeable recommended it...

where did u get the cam and how much? I'm looking for a kit with timing chain and all. Did you change to roller rockers? And how have you been doing on the track? Thanks in advance!

If you are already spending the money, you might as well go with a roller cam. I would spend the extra cash and go roller and never look back.

I went with a kit from full throttle. I used the 210/215 cam and have had great results. One of the experts might chime in and suggest a cam but for your goals any small cam will do just fine. If you want a cutom cam, i would get input from Bison.

I would go roller cam before ported heads for reliability stand point. Get a 212/212 from Bison or Dave Husek and run the springs setup the way they recommend. Both are super knowledgeable and easy to get ahold of.

Our builds are very close, I am a ride or die flat tappet guy but you definitely cannot go wrong with a roller set up. I got a 212/212 cam kit with valve springs, timing set, and lifters.

It was extremely cheap from comp cams and it was right on the money as far as cam degree goes. Stock cam will go along way also.

Got the kit at Weber Racing don't remember how much...I do not have roller rockers, but it least have the heavy duty rocker shafts...Full Throttle sells basically the same kit as I have ....Track times are consistent 10.80 off the foot brake with a 1.5x 60ft. and 125 to 126 MPH...

I got my roller kit from flatlander racing, really good prices.

I found a cam kit on weber but none are 212/212 they have 206/206, 206/212, 218/212. what would be the best one for my current setup?

Are you going ductile or billet?? Maybe talk to the guy who is going to set up your heads to see which one he thinks you should go with...Could give Weber or Full throttle a call and tell them your goals and what you want to get out of this build before deciding...

I honestly don't know. I'll talk to the machine shop and ask. Thanks!

I think ductile is along the lines ill go I know for the billet requires a conversion.

Running same cam for yrs came as a whole kit , great street/strip cam , great mid range torque . Been 10.58 128 now with 70 gtq n 9.5 billet converter def, faster .

everyone keeps insisting on the roller setup. Im not opposed to flat tappet but most people say they do not last whats your opinion and how long have u been running it in your set up? the price difference from comp cams from roller to flat tappet is almost $600 thats a lot of savings in my book lol
