You're new motor will definitely be 9 sec capable. Get it done and he will respect you. 9 sec street car with A/C and cruise is nothing to sneeze at, even if you own a 7 sec race car.

His camaro does run good. I heard that it's not a 427, but something much bigger. Not sure who to believe, but it runs dang good. Large cubes, Brodix heads, high compression, giant roller cam...it's just a nasty combination. The 400 shot of NOS really helps things along too. If I can get my new engine and combo together, I may run him again, but only if I can get my traction issues resolved. The saga continues...

If you ever get a look under his hood and see it's a tall deck big block...then could be a 572.

But like I said early on...a bone stock ZZ502 without nitrous in a set-up first gen Camaro can pull down high 10's...
