Can aluminized steel exhaust be welded?

Can the aluminized steel exhaust components be welded with a conventional copper wire feed welder or does it require a special TIG of some sort?

Rob - The exhaust (Aluminized Steel) on my T-Type has been welded. I believe it was MIG welded, but I'm not sure.

yes aluminized can be welded with arc, mig, hell even tig. but all exhaust shops use a mig welder. as for a copper wire welder I think you are refering to the copper color wire used in a mig welder. copper is soldered together with lead.
