Seriously, I can smell it quite strongly but can find a leak for the life of me!

I wouldn't think you would be able to smell it from a 60mph punch.

Denatured smells a little like antifreeze.

Methanol is odorless.

Yes you can smell it from a 60 MPH roll.

Hows that.

When I had a SMC kit installed I could smell it and it would be a fairly strong smell. (I gave up on the SMC kit....all the issues have been raised on this board. I've been toying with the idea of giving another try w/ Razor's set-up)

For the smell....i was adding some grape scented alky top-end lube to the alky tank. It smelled "fruity". You can get the top-end lube "flavored" or you can just buy the "scented" w/o lube. Alcohol dragster drivers add this stuff to their fuel. Available at local speed shops or thru Summit/Jeg's.

I raced a buddy with a supercharged LT1 and when I pulled on him about two cars..all of a sudden he slows down and pulls over to the side of the road..he thought he blew a head gasket racing me due to the smell of denatured..

So yes..he got sprayed big time :)

John thanks for the thumbs up ;)

After racing a couple of buddies and pulling several lengths on them we came up to a light. They were both coughing and wheezing saying "dang, you can really smell the alky!" :D
