Can anyone make a chip with a super low revlimiter?

I need something with a revlimiter around 2,000rpm. As soon as the motor is done it's going to the shop to have the external wastegate welded in so boost will be unlimited until then. I'm having a couple other things welded so it might stay overnight and I really couldn't sleep at night knowing my car would be in someone else's hands with a new motor and no boost limit.

Nobody is that stupid. Someone who would normally take your car for a ride wouldnt' knowing that it is there for the installation of a wastegate.

But any time you're worried about that type of thing, write down how many miles are on your car when you drop it off. TELL THE OWNER you are writing down the number of miles.

yes it can be done, I had one made by scott231 on this board, it has a 2500 rpm limiter and a 55mph limiter. I had posted in the "computer chips 101" forum and got hooked up. You may want to send him a EM/PM.

It's probably called something like the "I'm taking my car to the garage chip" or the "I'm letting my girlfriend/wife drive the car chip".

Takes all of 30 seconds to disconnect the speedo cable from the tranny.

I call it the Valet chip. Both the rev limter and the speed limiter are turned down.

$15 of cheap insurance.

Casper Electronics make of 7 pos. Chip with a Valet setting .
4500 RPM / 65 MPH Limit on the # 2 setting . It can also be customized for your vehicle and what you have done to it . Settings go from Mild to WILD , mine has 26 deg. of timing and TCC lockup at 80mph . It also has Anti-theft built in on position #1. Kills the fuel pump. I still have my car because of it .
