iVE WAS RUNNIN MY GN AND WAS GETTING A LIL KNOCK LIKE 4 * WITH ALKY AND 20LBS OF BOOST AT 26* TIMING, CAN I RUN ZYLENE AND 93 OCT MIX FOR APPROX 100 OCT TO ELIMINATE THE KNOCK? iS RUNNING ZYLENE DEFEATING THE PURPOSE OF THE ALKY?

No problem running them both...except $$$$.

You may just want to keep adjusting the alcohol delivery so the xylene is not needed.

HTH :)

I could always run more boost with toulene. Ever car and set-up is different, so it's hard to say how much, if any improvement you might get. Some guys swear they can run the home brew like it's 110 octane. I believe the octane of home brew tops out at 100 octane, or maybe slightly above.

A 30 percent mix is as much as you can go (no benefit from more), and D Conner says he uses 2 ounces of Modern Mystery Oil to each 3 gallons of xylene (or toulene) added.

I believe you are not running what your combo needs. 26* is a lot of timing, and 20# is not enough boost to get your turbo in its efficiency stage. Drop the timing back to about 22-23* and then try turning the boost up a couple #'s. I think your engine will like it
