You paint n body guys make the big bucks...go for it.

How much HP did you say my tranny was rated for? I think that 6776 is going to test it out... :D

Seriously, it feels nice to actually have alot of power and it being transfered to the ground as it should. Thanks Brian for building me a super tranny!:)

Oh yeah, how do you like your vacuum brake setup as well? I hear a lot of different stories about it.

Curious as well, now that you have to stop a Buick with a nice turbo like that. Don't want to turn this into a brakes discussion though, just want a quick answer if the vac brakes are doing good.

Glad to hear that you did notice better spool-up though.

My brakes work okay...not as good as I would like. Of course its all relevant to how fast your going and how much of a time you need to stop. These TR's are heavy and if you get them going between stoplights it could get iffy.
I have been looking into dual piston calipers and drilled rotors but there seems to be alot of cons and not of enough pros to make a switch. Some people say they work better and some dont. It is alot of $$ for a mod that you are not 100% sure will be an improvement.

Yeah... figuring out brake upgrades is a pain in the neck. I've been trying to figure out what I want to do with my brakes but as you said it's all expensive stuff and there's always pros/cons and split opinions on everything. All I know is I want my powermaster gone BEFORE I experience any problems. Especially if I get a bigger turbo and start going even faster.

All in all I am pleased with the vacuum set up. This is my third TR and I had trouble with all 3 powermasters. On the whole I love the vacuum brakes. JUst didnt like crawling under the dash to swap pedals. I am 6'7" and 275 lbs. I am not meant to be under there.

I had way to many frozen pedals going down the road with a fault powermaster. I dont miss that at all.

All I can say is that I was right. It feels like I have a brand new car. The spool rate is incredible. I have been thru 2 turbos with that wastegate and I never knew what I was missing. That 6776 comes on at 1/4 throttle now and hits 10-15 psi like it was nothing! Its like its spooling all the time and is availbale at normal cruising speed. With no other changes I went from from 24 psi to spiking at 29 psi. I had to unscrew my RJC controller down about 5 turns.

So I guess I answered my own question.

What did i tell you about the spool up with the Deltagate vs the Tial??

It spools my TE62 like mad also, i remember when i first swapped the gates for the first time, i remember barely pushing the pedal and its at 5 psi, i go half throttle and its creeping 20. I say the switch from the Deltegate to the Tial gate is one of the best things ive done to the car so far!

What spring rating did you get?

Have fun! It'll be hard to keep the tread on the tires now!

Got a 16 lb spring. I screwed my rjc controller out all the way and now I cant get my boost lower than 25 psi. should I ditch the rjc and get a 23 lb spring and just let the tial do all the work?

We do alright... WHEN we have a job! :(

1100 H.P. ;) That trannie should do just fine. I would say 500-600 depending on combination.

These turbos look really enticing! Keep up the good work!
Let`s see some times!

Get another spring for the controller and cut it shorter. Worked on mine.

Let us know when you make it to the track, love to see how much HP you pick up with the new turbo.

Your saying remove the rjc spring and cut off a coil to remove tension?

Where can I get another spring locally? Home depot, lowes, etc..????

87NAT,

Set it up like i recommended!! Set it up it Open Loop first before doing what was recommended earlier
