You can use this style mount if you have a 307v8 style cross member for the trans. That is exactly what I am using on my cutlass.

you could make an adapter plate to use it.. but it probably didn't get installed in the first place because the previous owner bought it, crawled under the car, and got lazy and frustrated when he saw that it was different than the stock one.
