Ok car has precision 70GTQ with 85 housing ...Racegate . i was having a problem in the past with the boost but ive got that solved car will not make over 20-21psi with 9lb spring in WG and valve cranked as far as it will go , ideas

How is it hooked up? Air regulator inline? Bottom port plugged..top open? LEt us know..then we can help.

I ahd it hook up with the air compressor reg two lines , i just switched to Turbosmart duel boost controler , still cant make ove 20-21psi that is set up with it hooked into the bottom port of the race gate and the top opened .

Not to rain on anyone's parade but I use to own the dual stage turbosmart boost controller and it never worked right. I then sold my first one to a local kid with a turbo civic(who also never got it to work). I then said maybe mine came from a bad batch and bought another one brand new which also didn't work. I then simply went to a std. turbosmart single stage mechanical controller and have had no problems since. The other concept at hand imo is that you are never supposed to go above double of what your w.g. spring is. That could also be a problem.

Well the switching from low to high works ok Low is set at 16 and hight for now at 20-21 , in the past with a different setup and the same bleeder i just removed for the turbosmart i made 30 psi no problem ( the same one wouldnt do over 20 with my set up now ) i was thinking of getting a new spring for the racegate maybe that will pick it up

My dual stage woould switch from high to low also but where I had problems was high boost adjustment. I would see what some of the other members chime in with as far as different ideas. If no other simple fixes pop up, then I would move to getting a new spring. Good Luck
