so my car came with an adujstable waste gate arm, and last weekend i started to fool with it. Then i read that its not the preferred method of turning the boost up so i picked up a manual boost controller. Now my question is, i know what the arm was at and can set it back to that,BUT, how do i know that it is the right length? That the previous owner didnt give it a turn or two? So how can i tell if it is "zeroed out" and in the right spot. I plan on plumbing in the manual boost controller soon but i would like to have that arm adjusted right. Thanks guys.

I would adjust the rod length to where you have to pull it about an 1/8 of inch to get it to hook to the puck arm. This way you have some tension on it so the puck is closing the hole. You will have to drive the car and see what your max boost is, you have alky so you shoud'nt have to worry about high boost on pump gas. Use the boost controller/ ajustable rod to set to desired boost.

x2. You want a little tension on the rod, and use the RJC valve to control the boost. It helps tthe car spool faster as well, at least on my car.

I constantly ran 25-26psi on my stock turbo setup, with those 009s and TT chip. Granted I had a few more upgrades, but still. Watch your 02s and tune for no knock.

Once you get it sorted out, the car is gonna feel brand new at 23psi or so on the alchy!!!:D

You know my number if you need anything.

one other question, i picked up a manual boost controller for next to nothing, not a rjc one. Im pretty sure it will work, now theres the one line, that goes into the plastic "Y" and then one line goes to the compressor housing and the other goes to the waste gate. where does the controller get plumbed into, and i thought i read somewhere that the plastic "Y" has to go in a certain way:confused: maybe i miss read it, but now i cant find the picture that said it. thanks for any help guys

Get rid of the Y completely I believe.

Barb on the compressor cover > boost controller > wastegate

x2, but if you wanna hook it back up to stock with the boost line, the little end of the boost line goes to the wastegate solenoid, then the "y" part of the hose goes to the compressor housing, then the other end goes to the wastegate.
