I have a 1994 Buick Century automatic, 75k miles. Whenever I go over 50mph recently, then brake back down approaching 0, my car starts shaking and dies. It restarts after a couple moments. What could the problem be?
TCC hydraulic circuitry staying activated. Its like a manual transmission with the clutch engaged. Probably needs a minute or 2 to bleed down then it releases. I have a 97 Park Ave that did this to me once then it never happened again so i didnt investigate further. Im not sure exactly where to start. Could be a valvebody issue or just a TCC solenoid issue. Sometimes the pressure control solenoid acts up and causes some weird symptoms in those. Maybe Chris will chime in with more info on this one.
The hydraulics in the trans dont allow for the TCC to function in 1st. So an exhaust could be plugged in the hydraulic circuit preventing the unlocking.
