I checked on Hagerty, and it says they won't even cover it, it has to be an '86 and older to be considered. I called Grundy and wanted to be clear on something, but ended up not learning a thing, basically.
You can't use the car to drive to work and on errands. OK, I asked about if I'm out on a Sunday afternoon and have to stop at a store for something, will the car be covered if something were to happen? Basically, the lady told me that if I'm stopping at a small convenience store that I'd be OK, but if I'm at the mall (Something I'd never do anyways with the Buick... Car theft city there) or a big grocery store, that it might be a problem. She said that the car would be out of sight too long and who's to say you were in the store for 5 minutes or an hour? I can't see how something like that can be abused... Not sure I'm entirely comfortable with it though....
I'm most likely going to sign up for it because it'll cut my insurance payments in half for $3,000 more coverage (I only have it for $7,000 right now with Allstate). I'll just have to use better judgment on where I drive it I suppose.... The goal is to avoid a claim with anyone, but I want to be assured that I'll be covered if I need to.... *sigh*
