Well heres my mods first off, Cold air intake, and Boost controller, 14psi.
Anyway, I have a loose oil fill tube. so under boost. It sprays oil out from under the cap.
My dad insists that I blew out my Valve cover gaskets because I built up way too much boost in the crankcase?
14psi is NOT way too much boost, the car has never seen over 18psi.
Car was not slining oil out when the entire tube/cap assembly flew off.
After my dad bent the caps ends, the tube started slinging out oil when i get under boost.
He swears its not him, because he just put Head gaskets on it.
I swear its not too much boost.
So he rigged the oil vent line to the intake in FRONT of the MAF.
And this morning when i started it up. It blew out BLUE smoke, then stopped.
now when ever I start it up, it smokes.
After about 5 runs 1/4th passes. and several street pulls, for a few seconds. and 1000 miles.
I have lost about a half a quart of oil.
He says this is a major problem and is very serious. I beg to differ.
He knows NOTHING about turbocharged Vehicles. and go by all this info from a guy that used to race V8's.
I believe im right..
But I put it back to stock boost. and if that doesnt help it, I'll put it back to stock Intake/air box design.
And if that doesnt help. Ill just start adding oil when I need it until I can get myself a nice short/long block to play around with.
What do you guys think about this whole ordeal?
