Decided to do wheel bearings / brakes on my daily driver before it gets too cold...
Ordered the parts tues, so they would be in by wed morning. Took wednesday off work to do the job.

Pick up the parts, go home and start with the rear. Get the pass side all done, start the drivers side and remember I didnt plug the abs sensor in. So I go back over to plug it in. Having a hard time and realize its the wrong friggin plug !!! The pin spacing was twice that of the original.

Dirve the car to the parts store as is (with the ABS light on) to show them the error. All their info shows that they supplied the right part, and all they can do is refund money. They ask am i sure it is the type/year/model car I say it is, and I tell them to go into the lot and see for themselves. They decided to order in different parts from the same type of car with different motor so they can check them out (at their expense). Of course they are like $60 more each.

On the way home I stopped at a different store that had one bearing in stock. I ask to take a look at it so I can check out the plug. It was correct. So it is the orifginals stores error.

The ones that will come in today will be correct. How should I handle this ? There is $120 buck difference, I wasted a day off since I couldnt finish the job, and I have to do the pass rear AGAIN.

Unfortunately there is really nothing you can do. I'm sure the parts store didn't intentionally sell you the wrong parts. You should get into the habit of checking the parts (to make sure they are correct and not damaged/defective) before installing them. This kind of stuff happens all the time. Don't feel like "they" did something to "you" and "owe" you something in return. The fact that they are going to refund your money on a part that was installed shows that they are a fair shop.
