Car has been running very badly today!!! I went out & started it up & noticed a alittle sputter, but thought nothing of it, so took it out for a spin. Got less than 1/2 mile when it starts to sputter & die.I pull over & check for trouble code & get a code 23 & a code 34. I try to start the car back up & it starts fine, but as soon as put it in gear it sputters & wants to die.
The only thing I did to the car between the last time I drove it & today was put some 100% silicone grease on my ecm connectors for my spark plugs.Would this cause a problem? I tried cleaning it off the connectors & inside the boots & the code 23 went away. I noticed on my scan tool that my maf sensor was only reading 3-5, which I know is low.I unplugged the maf & restarted it & got no change,it still idled good while in park, but when I put it in gear it sputtered & died.
Do you think it's because of the silicone I put on the ecm or is it just coincidence that my maf took a dump on me since the last time I drove it which was yesterday? What do I check now???
