just got the car running it idles fine but put it in gear it sputters and has no power any ideas?

Well put a new cam and timing chain kit in, had no spark replaced the cam sensor that was the problem surprisingly. So it runs idles fine but when you put it in any gear it bogs down and has no power wont do a brake stand.

How did you set the cam sensor? You can start the engine then unplug the cam sensor. If it runs better, it means the cam sensor is n/g or set wrong.

If you touch any of the vacuum lines and your hand comes back black they all probably need replaced. Cracked, leaky lines cause vacuum leaks. Vacuum leaks lead to poor running engines.

Ok. Worth a try. So in your first post you say it won't brakestand. Any header leaks? If this cam is bigger than stock it might not like a stock torque convertor. Bigger cams like looser convertors.

How does it drive?

no exaust leacks at all it has a stock replacement cam also has 3200 stall converter

Do you have a scanmaster?
What do you have the fuel pressure set to at idle with the vacuum line off the regulator?
Does it run better when you get out on the road or just at idle?
