Car started knocking with scantool hooked up?

Guys, i hooked up my otc monitor and the damn car started knocking at about 5lbs of boost! What the hell is going on? I disconnected the monitior and no more knock, then reconnected it and had no knock, but the motor didnt pull as hard.

This is crazy

I think my MAF is bad too, i whacked it tonight and my idle dropped a bit.. any other suggestions?

PS.. I also pulled out two alarms and a starter kill setup. Man what a friggin mess, so much cleaner now I may put something new and SMALLER in now

Make sure your in road test and not diagnostic mode. In diagnostic your timing is fixed and the car will knock pretty easily.
