I re-installed the stock injectors and now the car won't run. It started right up.......idled for a second or two and died. Cranks just fine but won't fire.

I undid the fuel rail cap and depressed the shrader valve, covering my hand in fuel so I assume it is getting into the rail ok. Pump runs fine too.

2 questions:

1) how do I verify spark?

2) how do I verify the inectors are firing?

TIA

I hooked up turbolink and cranked the engine. The RPM window never changed form zero.

Does this mean the crank sensor is bad?

The car did crank and run for a second when I first tried today, suggesting it had just a little fuel left in it.

I hooked a FP gauge to the rail and get nothing. I turned the car on and the FP doesn't seem to be running. Is there a way to check if it is getting power? There is a wire coming off the back of the alternator going to the driver's side fender that has a fuse. There is power there.

My car has a hotwired pump but I did not install it so I don't know what to look for.

What wires under the rear bumper can I check for power?

Russ, I did and it didn't do anything. I should mention, however, that I have removed the stock oil pressure sending unit and put in an aftermarket gauge.

My understanding is that without that stock oil pressure unit installed the stock pump wiring won't fire the pump as it doesn't see oil pressure.

Is there some place I can check power at that relay under the rear bumper?

At the same time you installed the injectors?

no, last year.

All I did was upgrade injectors...drive 5 miles.....change my mind and go back to the stock injectors. :-(

Possibly the fuel pump relay on the fender. You pluged the computer back in right?........

I did plug the computer back in. Is there a way to make sure it is getting power?

Where is the FP relay and how can I test it?

Thanks much for helping me Russ :-)

It's on the pass side fender near the radio antenna. It goes starting closest to the headlights, MAP sensor, ac relay, fuel pump relay, esc module. The ac and the fuel pump relay are the same, just try the ac relay on the fuel pump circuit.

They are different part numbers and the fuel pump relay has a small flat piece sticking out to the side so it won't fit in the AC relay :-(

Is there something I could jump to bypass that relay?

God in heaven....!! I need to turn in my keys!

It was the 15amp FP/INJ fuse. I swear I looked at all the fuse listings and didn't see that one.

GNTTYPE comes through again :-)

Now..... wonder why it popped in the first place :-)

I turned the key and have FP.

thanks for staying with me on this Russ :-)

Tomorrow I run it for a bit and see if it pops the fuse again.
