car wont stay running

getting codes 42 and 51 on scanmaster any clues were to start.....car will start and idle but not for long as soon as it goes into gear it dies..help

When my EGR went bad my car wouldntrun unless wide open. Try taking vacuum line off and see if it makes a difference

Malfunction Codes Reference

When mine threw code 51, it would start but wouldnt stay running.

I swapped out the chip with a spare and it ran fine, no code. I tried adjusting the pins on the bad chip in the ecm a few times but the chip never would work right for me again.

i have a turbotweak chip that is only 3yrs old at best..wonder if that ha sto do with my top end problem as well car wont pull past 110
