carb 3.8 turbo questions?

What is a complete carbed turbo motor/2004r combo worth? It was supposedly running when pulled. Are the transmissions the same as the ones in the 86/87 cars. Should it have a brf valve body?

I'm assuming you have a 83 setup? The tranny is probably worth more than the motor unfortunately:frown: . No it is not a BRF unless it was switched out which I highly doubt.

So the only thing these motors have in common with the 86/87 are the rods, turbo crank, and heads?

That's about it. Not good donors for 86/87 cars. But they make great engines as they are. Put one in a light weight body and go. They like more boost.
