I have one like this http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00009R66F.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg it and it's lasted us like 5 years now which included cleaning several cars and the house about once a year. It works great and it's pretty simple to use. With a little bit of Blue Magic carpet cleaner and spot remover that I got at Advance Auto I was able to get just about anything out. http://ace.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pACE2-1190448dt.jpg
