Carport

Wondering if anyone here has made there own carport? Or maybe ordered one through ebay. Any suggestions?

Ordered 2 20 x 20 metal buildings and turned then into a 20 x 40 extension for the shop. Put 4 holes in the ground, put the posts in and filled with concrete. The posts were level and once the concrete was hard we put the stringers and braces in. Then put the roof and sides on. Haven't poured the floor yet but total for a 20 x 40 shop extension will be less than $5K total.

I built a 24 x 26 with telephone poles. I bought trusses and tin from a friend. Ended up adding a 10 x 26 attachment to one side. Total cost was about 3k . Concrete was about 2k including the driveway to carport. Cheap,,,, YES!! Also has 10 foot ceiling.

We got it at a place called metal mart. Don't know the brand but it's still standing, so I guess we did it right.
