I am glad i did not bring my car to run it, what a piece of SH** track that one is, no preparation for the track whatsoever, cracks all the way down the 1/4 mile, not to mention the benches that are falling apart and the infamous dirt road to get to the crappy track and the staff what a bunch of A**H0***, never ever again i am going to that track in my lifetime and for whatever time it remains open i am actually happy they are shutting down that SH**HO**, the only good thing was seeing all the buick guys in one place, now i have to go put on some lotion my back and nose got fried.. ouch.

LOL< that sounds like the track near me. I remember when a mustang blew a headgasket mid way, I see 2 kids run down the trrack with mops in there hand! There is a hump in one of the lanes to!

Actually the track was much better than we expected.:)

The TSM car of Dic Kereny ran a best of 10.1and a couple 10.30's. The stage car we had there ran a few 10.30's on 22 psi while trying to get the tune dialed in correctly.

Both cars would have done much better if the starting line had ANY prep? Scott's Toyota with the GN motor was running mid-10's and would have also gone faster with traction [as in track prep].

The high 70's temp was a welcome change from our 110 deg. here on our return.:(

Nick,
Thanks for taking the time to talk to me and my uncle at Carlsbad. I will defiantly be contacting you in the near future becuase I have many questions about my car(it runs like crap).
Eventhough the track was ****ty it was nice seeing all the cars in one place racing. The fans sure liked it too.

What about the dirt wall for a shut down area if your not on the binders. They used to run fuel cars there! I miss that place:(

Great get together fellas!

Nick that stage car is no joke, it was mind boggling seeing your car and Dic Kereny car run the times they did, especially considering the track conditions. Hats off to you both.

Also, I finally ran the time I wanted and I'm happy :) even though my 60ft was a 1.89, it should have been better than an 11.50. Next time the front sway bar is coming off, still learning guys, don't break my balls:p See you all in Vegas:cool:

Copied word for word from my post over on t6p:
FWIW & IMHO:
I had a great time, too. There were some pretty fast cars there. It was good to see everybody that I knew, meet some ones that I didn't know, and all in all, it was kickass. My hat is off to all of the Arizona clan who traveled quite a ways to run on a strip that they knew was not exactly in perfect condition. That's real showmanship to travel that far just for a days racing and some friendly get-together chat. Only makes me that much more anxious for Oct. 8th & 9th in Las Vegas to get here. Can't wait.
Phil (Ledzeppac) Sorry that I missed you and your uncle.

went there about 10 yrs ago, seems it's just as primitive today ... except probably more cracks in the asphalt.

I absolutely hated the dirt road ... dust all over the underside and engine bay ... spent all day detailing and cleaning.

Well thats why you should come to LACR, not a dump, actually an NHRA track, no dirt road, and no BS bout the elevation. Its only 500 ft. higher than Vegas. Unless your girlie cars can't handle it  Know several guys out here would probably attend racing that ways 200 miles away!
