Casper's Audible Knock Detector Wiring?

Is a wiring T splice somewhat like shown below adequate for wiring the Yellow/Black wire?



Is there something better?

Trying to avoid cutting, splicing, soldering, original wiring.

PS. Is there a source of switched 12V nearby, or just run a wire to the fuse panel?

If it's a quality T splice it should work.

If you run it off IGN 3 for +12 it won't work when cranking and won't annoy you.

Otherwise you can use the ECM power IGN pink/blk wire on A6.
