Caspers Audible Knock Sensor. Best Location ???

Going to install a Casper's audible knock sensor. I was wondering for those of you that have one already where is the best place to mount it ? Leave it on passengers side ? How loud is it ?

I had mine mounted down by the ECM. Plenty loud.

Agree............Make sure to test it by knocking near the knock sensor with a long rod with key on!!
This will assure it is working when knock occurs. I test mine monthly just in case.

I put mine behind the gauge cluster under the windshield dash panel somewhere years ago when I was under there for something. It goes off from time to time and scares the crap out of me! Usually, hopefully false knock. I forget it's there until BEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!!!!
