I bought Caspers Quick Start Module (http://www.casperselectronics.com/store2/product_info.php?cPath=61_62_5_6_10&products_id=654) just to carry in my TTA in case my cam sensor ever gives up.

Anyway had it for a while but thought I would try it out to see how hard it would be to start it so plugged it in per the instructions between (my working) cam sensor and engine harness then tried to start the car ... tried for the 4 sec with no luck then turned it off and tried again and again and again ... bit of splutter but would not start so in the end I gave up as I did not want to flood it or damage the engine somehow.

Is there a trick to use this or did I do something wrong?

I have one too. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. You've got me curious.

If you have time to try yours out and see if you can start yours, and how hard / many tries, would be great ... not sure how difficult it is to start with it to plug-in but I gave up after cranking the car maybe 5 or 7 times with no luck :-(

I just read over the instructions. Are you getting a blinking led on the module when you turn the key on?

Sorry been away and just back home ... yes the LED blinks when ignition is on (not started) ... however tested it all again today and still no-start with the module plugged in (in series with the cam module) :-( When removed it starts straight away ..

Not sure what is going on here; anyone used it and it works? If so how hard is it to start with it plugged in vs. not plugged in?
