Is there any technical diagrams for "free flowing modification" for the catalytic converrter. You know, a how to page. Thanks

here goes:

get a big hammer
get a long socket extenstion bar
remove cat from car
insert bar into cat and hit with hammer
once all honycomb material is gone, re-install cat

car will now be louder.

i've thought about installing pipe thru the gutted cat,
but have never done it. i think it may quite it down some,
or help with flow, but i don't know, just guessing.

Before removing any of the components spray some WD-40 on those exhaust bolts a day or so in advance. You could just get a test pipe and install it. Keep the cat for when you need any emissions testing.

X 2 thats the way I went about it, and I save my new cat for emissions testing.:D

**** , this is the most important part, this will save your parts and your knuckles, don't know how i forgot about it.

Here is a picture of an 86/87 cat. The arrows point to the material you want to remove. Make sure you remove ALL OF IT or some may blow back when you start the car and get into the muffler.

You can blow some compressed air through it if you have an air compressor to make sure all the honeycomb material is out.
