I have not had a chance to fool with the car since Bowling Green, it was in the chassis shop for MONTHS to change some rear suspension stuff and hang a door. I started to prepare it for Cecil on Thurs evening, found a bent pinion gear and drive shaft, scrambled to get that stuff in the car Friday, what a mess....
We are running it at the same power level as we were in KY, just got rid of all the tire shake TOTALLY and have the clutch a little closer. Still have some power on tap as we are running a fairly conservative tune up, we will go faster!
For the technical guys:
60ft 1.12
1/8 4.66 at 152.7
1/4 7.25 at 188.2

For the TSO car, I can assure you, Jeff will be the WORST driver in the calss, I dont care if he gets 500 passes under his belt, the guys who watched him in BG and at Cecil will agree to that!!!! We built his car from a daily driven 11 second piece and skipped over the 10's and 9's right to the FAST zone so I am sure that has alot to do with it. He ran a 8.69 yesterday and backed it up with a 8.74. This is a 274" Champion headed engine with a PT88. We have not weighed the car but it still has full, stock interior and heat. Glass hood, bumpers and deck lid with mild steel cage, probably one of the heavier cars in the class. I am glad the driver is finally using the car to it's potential.
Thanks to the guys who stopped by and sorry if I didnt get a chance to speak to everyone, as usual, I was busy as a 1 legged man in an AZZ kicking contest!!

P.S. to those concerned about the water in Edgemere, I moved to Kent Island and have a well, God only knows what may happen now!!!!

yea great job Bill. Can't wait to see your shop with Magna next Sunday:)

Bill,

Is this still at 2570lbs and about 24psi?
Also could you please talk about the suspension modifications?

BTW: Your car rocks! :D

John, the car is probably closer to 2600# now due to the additional bars we just added to make the 25.1E spec and the chromoly driveshaft (demolished the aluminum one in BG apparently it couldnt handle the tire shake!) As far as the boost goes, if I could ever get this F'N FAST data logger to work properly I could give you a better answer but..... I have the Innovative set for 32 psi through the first 3 gears and it drops back to 30 for 4th and 5th, it runs 2 psi lower than setpoint so 30 and 28 respectively. HONEST NUMBERS, no BS!!!!!!!
Suspension....chassis shop suspected the anti roll bar was binding on the launch so he totally reworked that and took off my QA1 shocks and installed Strange double adjustables, I went to a stiff sidewall M/T too because of the weight of the car and I stepped the gears up from a 4.11 to a 4.29 <----only because I found a bent pinion Thursday and that is all I could get by Friday....talk about a busy couple days. Car could have used a little more clutch on the last pass but we'll fix that next time:D

Thanks Guys
