I have not had a chance to fool with the car since Bowling Green, it was in the chassis shop for MONTHS to change some rear suspension stuff and hang a door. I started to prepare it for Cecil on Thurs evening, found a bent pinion gear and drive shaft, scrambled to get that stuff in the car Friday, what a mess....
We are running it at the same power level as we were in KY, just got rid of all the tire shake TOTALLY and have the clutch a little closer. Still have some power on tap as we are running a fairly conservative tune up, we will go faster!
For the technical guys:
60ft 1.12
1/8 4.66 at 152.7
1/4 7.25 at 188.2
For the TSO car, I can assure you, Jeff will be the WORST driver in the calss, I dont care if he gets 500 passes under his belt, the guys who watched him in BG and at Cecil will agree to that!!!! We built his car from a daily driven 11 second piece and skipped over the 10's and 9's right to the FAST zone so I am sure that has alot to do with it. He ran a 8.69 yesterday and backed it up with a 8.74. This is a 274" Champion headed engine with a PT88. We have not weighed the car but it still has full, stock interior and heat. Glass hood, bumpers and deck lid with mild steel cage, probably one of the heavier cars in the class. I am glad the driver is finally using the car to it's potential.
Thanks to the guys who stopped by and sorry if I didnt get a chance to speak to everyone, as usual, I was busy as a 1 legged man in an AZZ kicking contest!!
P.S. to those concerned about the water in Edgemere, I moved to Kent Island and have a well, God only knows what may happen now!!!!
