My cell phone went through the washing machine while on. Removed battery and set it in the window on a sunny day and it came back to life.

LOL... That's EXACTLY what I did with my old Nokia 6200.... Was in my pocket and on when it went throught the wash, almost made it into the dryer:tongue:

3 Days apart on a window sill... dried out and worked fine for 9months after. Needed a new battery though.

I'm with turbodave... why is it that good phones get discontinued in 6 months... but that POS razor stays around for 5yrs:confused:

I won't even sell them anymore unless the customer makes me:biggrin:

Don't even think about trying to scam warranty... Razrs have those litmus stickers on almost every part of them... you'd have to get them all, but then they can tell you've taken the phone apart (which voids the warranty in itself).

I've seen cutomers here at at&t try it... only ever seen 1 get away with it, but all the rest were charged for the damaged unit (220-350 depending on the phone) as quick as the next month, even seen 1 charged 7 months out for it.

Good Luck.

.

I don't understand that either  Unfortunately, I have to work on those pieces of crap on a daily basis. It wouldn't be so bad but Motorola's board design engineers seem to still be stuck in the late 80's.

Ken-

I told you TurboDave could help you out:biggrin: Or give you the bad news LOL:eek:

my phone fell into a pond and stayed under for about 15 min.It was still working when it fell in i had a friend who was right there call it and you could still hear it if you listened carefully. It works alot better now that it fell in the water:eek:.you might want to dry it out really good if you haven't already.

come on guys I love my razr (I'm on my third one:rolleyes: and its 100% my fault)1st glass of water,2nd dropped it and it broke on the 100th time,3rd new contract to get a new one that the camera lens isn't broke:biggrin: .
Ive got Motorola phone tools software on my computer and i use my phone as a dig camera, and for high speed internet at home for free (the phone/altell thinks its sending a text message), and with the mpt i can make all the free ring tones i want.....:p

Thank you all for getting back with me on the post. I tried the phone today and zero came out of it........ Next time I will know better about not starting it up and taking the batteries out of it..............

I have a razor cell phone and droped in water now it will not come on at all. Anybody know what I can do if anything to dry it out or get it to work. Can the cell phone people tell if it has been in water ? Any help out there.....

What service do you have? Just buy one off ebay and swap in your SIm card. i think the only one left not using SIMS is Verizon?

If you have T-mobile, PM me - I have lots of old phones laying around. I would be more then happy to send you one for some lunch money.

When i had my maid business the girls would drop one in a mop bucket a few times a year. Everytime I "re-upped" with T-Mobile, they sent me more of the "free phones" which i just kept in case...

It may not be a Razr - but it will be a working phone that will get you through until your next refresh cycle..... If you have T-mobile.
