Anyone know of any good companys in georgia for ceramic coating exh parts? Preferably in south georgia, or maybe in the atlanta area.

There were two I know off when I lived in Atlanta. One was Millers powder coating. Bill Miller in Doraville(Atlanta)

The other was Hi-Performance Coatings south of Atlanta. Jonesboro? Theyre by the Atlanta track. Been three years since I left. I'm not 100% sure on the name, they did a lot of advertising in the car mags hot rod, car craft, etc.. May have been Performance Coatings.

Atlanta area...

Yep, found both. Millers, http://millerpowdercoating.com/
and Performance Coatings of Jonesboro, http://www.headercoatings.com/

Also found a place in Macon that seems to use Perf. Coatings, Paul Barry Motorsports, http://www.pbmotorsports.com/

Now, to figure out which to use. I heard there was one down here in Moultrie, but I have yet to find it.

I'm thinking of getting the exh housing, and elbo coated if it doesn't cost too much, maybe the downpipe too. Have you ever heard of getting the turbine itself ceramic coated? Or what about the turbine shield, to help keep heat out of the turbo?

I used Millers and had my DP done in silver 2000 degree about 3 years ago and its held up perfect ever since.

Did you do the inside and outside with the 2000 degree? I just had a thread going under general tech about jet hot 2000. Had a lot of good responses. I'm going to have to send off my stuff somewhere. For jet hot it would be Mississippi., so Atlanta would be find. The only choices of color for jet hot 2000 are black, gray and blue. Was the silver fairly dull or shiney?

I did have the inside done also and just swapped turbos and its still there just looks well cooked after about 30K miles. I think they called it silver 2000 at the time but may have been quoted 1800 can't remember and I'm sure technology has improved. I believe they tumbled it after coating so it came out a pretty glossy silver, the gloss has faided a little but still looks just fine, here's somewhat of a shot: http://www.t6p.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=404&password=&sort=1&cat=500&page=1

I did have them coat everything except the puck sealing surface, when I got it back the puck still spun freely. At this last turbo upgrade I did take the coating off the flange to the turbo as a section was missing and I wanted to make sure it was sealing. Its certainly some tough stuff as I had to use a chisel to get it off. I'd suggest masking the puck and the flange as there's no need for it in those areas.

What about threaded holes, do they coat them on the inside? I would wonder if that would cause problems.
