Anybody else using this bracket from Champion experience any belt throwing problems?

It is an awesome piece, but for the 2nd time now the belt has rolled off the pullies...

Luckily I was not too far from the house and it was very cold outside, so the temp. didn't get too carried away.

The tension adj. on the power steering unit still feels really tight, but I guess it is moving enough to cause it to jump.

Any ideas out there, or is this another thing I have to start checking after every 50 miles???????

Being too tight might be doing it.

I have mine set so that I can twist the belt 90d in the upper span without too much effort.

If unsure you might back it off until it squeals some, and then tighten it slightly from there.

Too tight means heat, and they'll stretch, as well as stretching from being to tight. Also, can break the belts in the belt and then they stretch. Kind of a balancing act.

Ribs??

Count the number of ribs on the replacement belt you have. Wrong # of ribs, and it will not track, and as Bruce said, too tite is as bad as too loose.
