CHARGING CONCERN

last few time driving car scanmaster shows voltage jumping between 12.7-13.2 or so with lights on at night with no lights on still only reads 13.3-13.5 seems low battery is brand new . what do they normally charge at ?

Does your alt/battery light come on with key in the "on" position, but not running.

The scanmaster reads what the ECM is getting, which is usually lower than the alternator output to the battery. Perfectly acceptable, you can verify with a voltmeter at the battery.

Normal for a new fully charged battery.

What you see on scanmaster is not battery/alternator voltage. It is ignition voltage.
