I am really trying hard to get this thing running right. I think my last obstacle is the tranny.
I have the valve body down which is a CQ with a governor kit that should allow it to shift around 5800 - 6000 rpm. Well it isn't doing that, so I've done the following ;
* looked at the governor to ensure the spring was still in place - it is.
*Reviewed the T.V valve and plunger to ensure they are not sticking - they aren't
*Checked the operation of all other valve body components and what I found is
MTV down valve does not have a spring on it and it seems stuck. Is this
correct and if it isn't could it lead to my issues?
I think I could have the check balls in the wrong place, can someone look at
the image to see if this is the case and if it is, please tell me where they
belong.
The accumulator valve seems sticky, could this be an issue with the shifting.
Any help is welcomed, I have been chasing this problem for the better part of a week.
