Check engine light

I just recently restarted my 87 gn after a 2 year hiatus. After cranking the car the check engine light flickers with engine rpm.. If i rev it the light flashes faster than it was at idle. Any ideas?

Battery voltage when this is happening?
That is the first thing I would suspect or check out.
Then I would take a look at the ECM connectors for signs of corrosion. Unplug each connector on the ECM and check the pins for corrosion and or broken pins.

Also make sure that the chip is fully seated in the ECM and that there is no corrosion on the chip terminals.

I had a similar problem 3 yrs. ago with my car.. After checking the chip and ecm pins for corrosion I swapped out my computer with my buddy out of his T.. Problem solved..

If the computer chip isnt in tight or not at all it will run with a flickering check engine light.
